Ambassador Concierge Bios
Cheng Hsiao, Managing Director – Shanghai
Mr. Hsiao, one of the founders, joined Mr. Wolfington in the development of the Global Ambassador Concierge program. Mr. Hsiao relocated to China to execute and implement the program. He is a Chinese American with profound understanding of both cultures. Prior to moving to Shanghai, Mr. Hsiao was the Maitre d’ and General Manager of Morton’s Steakhouse. He opened several Morton’s across the US as well as one in Hong Kong. During his eight years at Morton’s, he held various management positions in marketing, strategy, general management, customer relations, and logistics. He has 14+ years experience as a professional manager in the hospitality and tourism industry. He is a graduate of Florida International University with a Master’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management.
Jolene Li, Director of Program – Shanghai
Ms. Li has been a part of Global Ambassador Concierge program since its beginning. A profound independent traveler, Ms. Li has deep interests and knowledge in Chinese tradition and culture. Prior to working for GAC, Ms. Li was a senior consultant for Atkins, specializing in tourism planning and development. She has led several regional and large scale resort planning projects in China. She has a thorough understanding of tourists’ requirements and anticipations, and is familiar with the tourism market in China. She is a graduate of George Washington University with a Master’s degree in Tourism Management.
Rosa Zhuang, Director of Liaison – Shanghai
Ms. Zhuang was born in Chengdu, capital of the Sichuan province and graduated from Chongqing University with a BA in English Literature. Her curiosity and appetite for culture difference brought her to France where she studied, worked, traveled and explored for five years. After obtaining a Masters degree in Tourism & Hotel management from The Paris Graduate School of Management, she served as a commercial interpreter for the team of International Sales of Accor and Air France Shanghai. Before joining GAC, she worked for Christofle as the Hospitality and Corporate Manager. Ms. Zhuang has a passion for photography, and enjoys her life in Shanghai immensely.
Rita Zhang, Ambassador Concierge – Shanghai
Ms Zhang has worked as a professional tour guide for two years. She has also worked as a research assistant for Mr. Brian Maths from Fulbright Scholar, where she researched the working and living status of Taiwanese people in mainland China. Deeply interested in and proud of Chinese culture, she is keen to share her knowledge and enthusiasm with others. She is a graduate of JiangNan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management.
Vivian Sun, Managing Director – Beijing
Ms. Sun is a citizen of China and resides in Beijing. Ms. Sun was the Publisher and Editor- in-Chief of China Travel and Tourism-100 Best before joining Global Ambassador Concierge. She is also the Founder and Managing Director of Startermc, a Branding and Marketing Strategy Services firm. Ms.Sun has extensive experience in film and TV advertising, and also worked as an editor and marketer of the China Tourism Newspaper from 2003- 2006. She has a degree from Shenyang Education University, has studied Public Administration Management at the University of Missouri, and has studied for an MBA at the University of Maryland.
Louise Batterbee, Director of Special Events
Ms. Batterbee is an experienced events management professional. She is a well-traveled British national, who has spent 8 years living in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing. She received her first training in hospitality with British Airways, based in Paris, and began her post-graduate career with Business Week Events in Asia. Her main areas of responsibility were Corporate Sponsor Client Liaison, Program & Agenda Management, and Speaker Coordination—which included global CEOs and former heads of State. Before joining Global Ambassador Concierge, Ms. Batterbee managed international seminars in China for the Young Presidents’ Organization. Ms. Batterbee holds a Bachelor of Science degree with combined honors in Business Administration and French from Aston University, United Kingdom.
Meggie Liu, Director of Administration – Beijing
Ms. Liu graduated from Capital Normal University in Beijing with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and spent time studying at
the Aspect International Language School in the United Kingdom. She has experience in International Trade, International Law, and International English Business and Correspondence. Prior to becoming a part of the GAC team Ms. Liu worked at the Presidential Plaza Beijing Hotel, and most recently worked as the Assistant to the General Manager of Pinnacle Realty Management International Company. Ms. Liu is responsible for the Office Administration at GAC Beijing.
Amber Zheng, Ambassador Concierge – Beijing
Ms. Zheng is a native of Beijing and has traveled throughout China. She graduated from the University of Paisley with a B.A. in Business Administration and a M.S. in Financial Services. She feels privileged to have had the opportunity to travel to so many different countries and has enjoyed learning about diverse cultures. Before joining GAC, Ms. Zheng worked in the Foreign Trade Department of China Cheng Feng Science Technology Industry Corporation. She is extremely excited to share her knowledge of China as an Ambassador Concierge for GAC.
